Gare d’agilità per gatti

SPORT – Le gare d’agilità per i cani, dove animali bene addestrati gareggiano a superare complessi corsi a ostacoli, sono un fenomeno ben noto. L’agenzia americana Associated Press riferisce ora – (qui) – che da qualche tempo cominciano a prendere piedi negli Stati Uniti competizioni dello stesso tipo per i gatti. Secondo l’allenatore Kim Everett-Hirsch, rispetto ai cani però: “I gatti sono un’altra cosa. Sono loro a comandare. Devi sapere far sì che siano loro a volerlo fare”.

Agility competitions for dogs, where well-trained animals race against one another and the clock over obstacle courses, jumping through hoops and dashing through tunnels, are a well-known phenomenon. According to the Associated Press – (here) – competitions of a similar sort for cats are beginning to attract interest in the United States. Trainer Kim Everett-Hirsch says though that, with respect to dogs: “A cat’s a little different. They’re running the show. You have to make them want to do it.”
