SPORT – Agility dog, Disc dog, surfing dog, Dog dancing e altro ancora. Lo sport canino non è solo trendy ma fa bene al cane e al suo padrone. Chi vuole fare dello sport o semplicemente trascorrere il tempo libero con il proprio cane ha ormai a disposizione un ventaglio di alternative divertenti e coinvolgenti alla semplice passeggiata al parco. I nostri cani non solo partecipano ai concorsi di bellezza, ma stanno diventando anche dei professionisti sportivi, degli artisti: come giocolieri, equilibristi, ballerini, sempre fedeli a fianco dell’uomo, competitivi ed entusiasti nel fare ciò che gli diciamo di fare e ancora di più.
Agility meets, disc dog competitions, doggy dancing and even surfing: canine sports of one kind or another seem to be bursting out everywhere these days. It’s a trend we’re glad to see, one that’s healthy both for the animals and for their owners. Canine competitive events until fairly recently were for the most part breeder-dominated, highly stylized “beauty contests”; dogs as dolls, more or less. Now energy and action are finding a new place in the lives we share with our four-legged friends.
