Il gatto mangia la pasta?

SALUTE – Il gatto necessita di diversi piccoli pasti, è selettivo, non si getta sul cibo come un cane, ma normalmente assapora e.. sceglie, questo si, questo no, quello forse ora lo lecco, poi ci penso, quest’altro….mai!
E’ goloso e s’ingozza volentieri di cibi proibiti contenenti zuccheri o sale e poi.. sta male da…cani!
Alla domanda: posso dare la pasta al mio gatto? i veterinari sono poco d’accordo perchè il gatto necessita di proteine di buona qualità, mentre i carboidrati non possono essere la costituente principale della sua dieta come molti pretenderebbero.
Non ci sono regole che valgono per tutti i gatti, ma non illudetevi di potere, senza danneggiare il vostro micio, dargli avanzi del vostro cibo, prima o poi pagherebbero pegno.

Cats prefers to eat a number of smaller meals a day and are selective. They don’t “throw themselves on the bowl” the way a dog will. They’ll try a bite and then choose. This will do, that won’t, maybe I’ll just take a quick lick and see what I think…
They’ll sometimes exaggerate with sweet and salty foods, to the point of making themselves sick.
As to the question, Can I feed pasta to my cat?, veterinarians say on the whole no. Cats need lots of high quality proteins, and carbohydrate-based foods are are not good for them.
Cats are as variable as people are in what they can handle or not, but for the most part they cannot get by on human leftovers and stay healthy. If you try to keep them going with pasta they’ll pay the price sooner or later.
