Non sono andato a lezione di canottaggio, ma me la cavo lo stesso!

SPORT – Non meravigliamoci troppo di fronte a questo orang utan che ha appreso perfettamente l’arte del remare. Magari un giorno qualcuno potrebbe pensare a fare una squadra di canottaggio composta da Oranghi, ma bisognerebbe portarli via dalla giungla, che sarebbe un vero peccato mortale!
Per chi non lo sapesse: orang utan in indonesiano significa uomo (orang) della giungla (utan) e orang deriva a sua volta da “orange”, attuali olandesi, che un tempo colonizzarono l’Indonesia.

We really shouldn’t be surprised by this orangutan who seems to have a talent for rowing a boat. It is tempting in fact to imagine a rowing team made up entirely of orangutans, but that would probably mean taking them away from their jungle habitat, which would be a shame.
If you don’t know, the interesting name of these primates derives from two Indonesian words, “orang” and “utan”, which mean “man” and “jungle” respectively. “Orang” is further said to have acquired its meaning from a reference to the “orange” Dutchmen who at one time held Indonesia as a colony.
